Wednesday Links
The winners of the 2006 Black Weblog Awards were announced not too long ago. If you’re interested in what’s hot on the black blogosphere, you should check out the list of finalists and winners. Glad to see blackfolk won for best community!
Speaking of, found this item on there yesterday:

Ampersand takes to task the notion that Most Black Americans Oppose School Vouchers
Most of you probably discovered me through Alas, a Blog, but for those few that don’t know about it, it’s an excellent source of information and discussion for the political and social minded. Their Link Farms are especially worth perusing. (Thanks for all the links, guys!)
One administrative note: Yesterday my hit counter recorded a record 394 hits, 246 unique visitors, and 36 return visitors. About two weeks ago I was averaging around 30 – 40 hits per day and less than 10 returning visitors. Traffic has WAY spiked. No doubt due to links from Alas, my incessant posting on Comics Curmudgeon, the whole grope thing, and links from blackfolks and sexandrace. Though higher traffic brings the possibility of greater anonymice and trolls, it has also brought in some very thoughtful commenters and readers. I’ll put up with the former to get more of the latter.
