Dear Pastor Jones and other so-called Christians intending to burn the Qur’an

Is this really what Jesus would do? If your answer is yes, may I suggest the following:

P.S. Dear Rick Lazio, as my mother used to say: God don’t like ugly.

short, sweet and to the point. unfortunately, it will most certainly fall on deaf ears.

if “pastor” jones is waiting on a word from god as to whether he should continue with this abhorrent act, he’s got the wrong number for god on his speed dial.

it’s odd how the “ultra” religious always need to hear from god when they’re doing something that’s totally fucked up.

heathens like me know it’s wrong before we even conjure the idea up in our heads.

    Here’s what Jesus would do:
“…’Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:13

    Did you see this?

I am so not a Christian. But I think I understand the religion better than some of these people. And I love Fred Clark at Slactivist:

Yes, I know, I’m a lefty liberal hippie and so my views are viewed as beyond the bounds of acceptable thought in our evangelical community. But this isn’t my opinion. The Bible is abundantly, explicitly clear on this point:

Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him. …

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. … No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. …

If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

That’s it. That’s the whole ball game.

Its clearly obvious what he wanted. He went to New York to meet “The Iman”, thats right, he was clearly crazy about David Bowie’s wife, who is a still stunning ex model.

But seriously as a muslim, I don’t care what what one nut does and the only reason that anyone does is that they are worried about a much larger bunch of nuts are going to go crazy in muslim countries across the world.

You want to know what makes my blood boil as a muslim? Honour Killings. Robert Fisk from The British newspaper “The Independent”, has a long and excruciating article about them.

Although the handlebar moustache is cool. He looks like he’s about to dash to his spitfire to fight incoming messerschmitts. Chock’s away old chap!
