Great article Renee. I've had your books earmarked on Amazon for a while now and I see its time to move into the ordering stage. Can't wait to read more

Well, those are most certainly books I need to add to my TBR pile. As a writer of multicultural fiction I know how it is when the histories that built these characters and our own experiences flow into a story, almost in essense buildings it out of a authors control. You just go with the flow. I can't wait to see what Renee's done with Breaking Jaie and Leave of Absense. How many girls have gone through life hiding thier academic potential just to fit in? No matter what your cultural or social background, we can all learn from books like these.

Cool article. I read "Breaking Jaie" and think it's a gread read and I love what the author did with the Point of View shifts between the two main characters. Renee's book entertains, teaches, and gives us all something to think about along the way.

While the MCs are black, what they go through and how they deal with what life dealt them is something that speaks to all of us, if we're willing to open our eyes and trust the journey Renee's taking us on in this book.
